Your Skin’s Worst Enemies

SUN


Sun is a ultimate dehydrator. Skin exposed to the ultraviolet rays causes sunburn, wrinkles, premature aging, skin cancer and permanent damage to the underlaying layers of the skin. So applying sunblock on daily basis is must in order to prevent skin issues regarding sun exposure.

Wind and Cold

Moisture evaporates from skin exposed to harsh weather faster as a result it causes chapping and irritation, premature aging and permanent lining of the skin so as a prevention moisturizer should be used in order to protect the skin from climatic changes.

Pollution

Exhaust fumes, street grimes, and other pollutants are the bane of urban women and these causes black heads , blemishes and adult acne on chronic basis. So to prevent these issues exfoliation should be done on regular basis.

Air conditioning and steam heat

An air conditioner’s chilly blast tighten and dehydrates the skin much the way as a winter wind does and steam though a helpful part of a brief skin treatment, drains natural oils and causes skin to sag. Compensate for your environment by drinking lots of water and by moisturizing skin religiously.

Smoking

An unhealthy habit that sallow skin, slows down the circulation and causes wrinkles around lip and eyes. Smoking should be avoided for having healthy skin.

Too much coffee, tea or alcohol

Caffeine and tea are diuretics, they force moisture out of your system and can be a cause of skin breakouts and acne according to many leading scientists and skin experts. Consuming caffeine on regular basis will make complexion to wrinkle and line more quickly. While too much caffeine can cause skin color to turn yellow.

Hot water and harsh soap

No skin type benefits from zealous cleansing ! Washing with hot water and drying soaps scalds skin, disturbs the skin natural Ph balance and can cause broken capillaries. Even oily complexions can become dehydrated from overuse of hot water and soap. So to prevent this kind of issue natural ingredients such as shea butter, olive oil, avocado oil, jojoba oil, coconut oil made soaps should be used and a good moisturizer should be used to prevent skin from dehydration.

An inadequate diet

Why do models munch on fresh “live foods” crisp raw vegetables and fruits rather than over processed snacks and red meats? Because over refined, starchy foods contribute to dull, tired and lifeless skin. Red meats digest very slowly, frequent meat eaters have system that metabolize more slowly as a result a sluggish turn over of new skin cells which causes dull complexion and poor skin tone.

Stress

Sagging skin, discoloration, lines, wrinkles, and blemishes these all are potential consequences of too much pressure and very little relaxation. Meditation and exercise should be done on regular basis to prevent stress in life.

Lack of Sleep

Exhaustion first shows on the delicate area around the eyes which comprises very thin skin about 0.5mm. After even one sleepless night this thin skin may look creased and puffy or may be marred by dark undereye circles.

Lack of exercise

When circulation slows down due to lack of exercise , fewer nutrients feed the skin. So as a result regeneration process of body languishes.

Habitual facial gestures

Repeated squinting , frowning, pouting and talking with your face exaggerate lines and wrinkles, eventually causing expressions to etch their way permanently into the skin.

Your own hands

Every time you rub or pull at your face or cradle your chin spreads bacteria and dirt from your fingers, stretching delicate skin out of shape and encouraging broken capillaries. Even habitual cradling cell phone on your cheek can cause breakouts ,blemishes and flare ups. So hands and cell phone screen should be sanitized before touching your face.
